tākakaṇyā (ताककण्या).—f pl (Buttermilk and grits.) A term for poor or homely fare. Pr. yērē mājhyā māgalyā tā0 cāṅgalyā (Get along with thee! my fare of tā0 was superior to all this.) Used of or to one who, in spite of change of circumstances, or of restraint, reproof, or instruction, holds fast his former vices or habits or ways.
