Suvistara (सुविस्तर) refers to a “detailed exposition of a particular story”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.5.19 (“Jalandhara’s emissary to Śiva”).—Accordingly, as Vyāsa said to Sanatkumāra: “O omniscient Sanatkumāra, what did the king of Daityas do after the departure of Nārada to heaven? Please narrate to me in detail (suvistara)”.
