Suruk (सुरुक्, “beautiful brightness”):—One of the six sons of Garuḍa (vehicle of Viṣṇu) and his wife Unnati, according to the Purāṇas. Garuḍa represents the mantras of the Vedas which carry the Lord of Sacrifices.
