suṇṭhavaḍā (सुंठवडा).—m ( H or suṇṭha & vaḍā) A preparation of ginger, molasses, sugar &c. given to puerperal women, ginger-caudle. Distributed also to the audience upon the conclusion of a kathā at the birth-anniversaries of the gods &c.
