Sudarśanaphāṇṭa (सुदर्शनफाण्ट) is a medicinal formulation (of the phāṇṭa type, ‘hot infusion’), according to the Ṣoḍaśāṅgahṛdayam (Ayurvedic medicinal work in Sanskrit). The following ingredients should be taken in equal part: Triphalā, Haridrā, Dāruharidrā, Kaṇṭakārī, Śaṭī, Guḍūcī, Kaṭukā, Parpaṭa, Musta, Numba, Vāsā, Madhuyaṣṭī, Indrayava, Ativiṣā, Lavaṅga, Tvak, Paṭola (leaves), Tālīśa, Śobhāñjana (seeds), Bhārgī, Vacā, Devadāru. Only Kirātatikta half of this total. Honey may be added to the infusion before use. The Sudarśana infusion is used to treat all kinds of fever.

The recipe should be prepared according to the Phāṇṭa (‘hot infusion’ or ‘tea’) process. Using this Ayurvedic preparation means you have to ground herbs till powder remains and put in boiling water covered with a lid. Take water from the flame and let it cool down to obtain this infusion.
