宿願力 [su yuan li]—(sù yuàn lì) — [Technical Term] Refers to the active power or efficacy of a 宿願 [su yuan] (sù yuàn).
The Contemplation Sutra (觀無量壽經 [guan wu liang shou jing]) says: "However, by virtue of that Tathagata's (如來 [ru lai]) original vow power, those who contemplate [him] will surely attain realization (成就 [cheng jiu])."
宿願力—【術語】宿願之力用也。觀無量壽經曰:「然彼如來宿願力故,有憶想者必得成就。」
[shù yǔ] sù yuàn zhī lì yòng yě. guān wú liàng shòu jīng yuē: “rán bǐ rú lái sù yuàn lì gù, yǒu yì xiǎng zhě bì dé chéng jiù.”
