Sphaṭikojjvala (स्फटिकोज्ज्वल) refers to the “brilliance of crystal”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.2.17. Accordingly as Brahmā narrated to Nārada:—“[...] in the presence of Śiva whose body shone with the brilliance of crystal (sphaṭikojjvala), Satī who had the glossy brilliance of split collyrium, shone like a line of cloud near the moon”.
