Smṛtibhramsha (disturbed memory) is described as a symptom where Smṛti (memory) is vitiated by rajas (passion) and tamas (obscurity). Vāgbhaṭa considers Brāhmī as a prime drug from apasmāra which is characterized by loss of Smṛti (memory) and saṃjñā (consciousness).
