- Acidic (kaṭu),
- Bitter (tikta),
- Astringent (kaṣāya).
The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., ‘six tastes’). The work is attributed to Nagarguna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.
