Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Simāriā is an archaeologically important site situated in Jāmui sub-division (Monghyr or Munger district, Bihar), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Simāriā there is a pedestal of an image which quotes the Buddhist formula ye dharmā, etc., and records that the image was the deyadharma of Thakura Budhasēna who was the son of Mihira belonging to the Srī-Pautra saṅgha.
