Source: ORA: Amanaska (king of all yogas): A Critical Edition and Annotated Translation by Jason BirchSiddhikara (सिद्धिकर) refers to the “cause of paranormal powers”, according to the Kaulajñānanirṇaya 14.82-84.—Accordingly: [The goddess said]: “[What is] the highest reality which is free from the multitude of mantras, Prāṇāyāma and meditation on Cakras, and is an immediate cause of paranormal powers (siddhikara), has no interior and [yet] is in the body, and is the destroyer of doubt?”.
Yoga is originally considered a branch of Hindu philosophy (astika), but both ancient and modern Yoga combine the physical, mental and spiritual. Yoga teaches various physical techniques also known as āsanas (postures), used for various purposes (eg., meditation, contemplation, relaxation).
