Śvetagandhaka (श्वेतगन्धक, “white sulphur”):—One of the four varieties of Gandhaka (‘sulphur’), which is part of the uparasa group of eight minerals, according to the Rasaprakāśasudhākara: a 13th century Sanskrit book on Indian alchemy, or, Rasaśāstra. It has a white color and is recommended for the Lohamāraṇa process.
