Applied figuratively to anything that cannot be made straight (as to a doggedly sullen or a perverse or a prejudiced person). śvānapucchavat (Like a dog's tail.) Inveterately and incorrigibly crooked or curved. Used of a perverse disposition, an evil habit &c.
