Śucisamācāra (शुचिसमाचार) refers to “pure conduct” and represents the fortieth of the eighty minor marks of distinction (anuvyañjana) mentioned in the Sukhāvatī and following the order of the Mahāvyutpatti (269-348). In Tibetan, the characteristic called Śucisamācāra is known as ‘kun tu spyod pa gtsang ba’. The Sukhāvatī represents a prayer for rebirth which was composed by Karma chags med, a Karma bka’ brgyud master, who lived in the seventeenth century.
