Śrīpañcamī (श्रीपञ्चमी) is the name of a festival that once existed in ancient Kashmir (Kaśmīra) as mentioned in the Nīlamatapurāṇa.—Śrīpañcamī proceeds as follows: Worship of Śrī is prescribed on 5ths, specially on the bright 5th of Caitra. The worshipper, throughout his life, is endowed with prosperity and obtains Viṣṇuloka after death.
