Śrīdhavala (श्रीधवल) refers to a group of eight metres consisting of eight lines, as discussed in books such as the Chandonuśāsana, Kavidarpaṇa, Vṛttajātisamuccaya and Svayambhūchandas.—The lines of Śrīdhavala are divided into two equal halves. The odd lines contain 10 (4, 4, 2) mātrās, while the even ones have only 8 (4, 4) mātrās.
