首圖駄那 [shou tu tuo na]— (Shǒutútuónà) — [Personal Name] Śuddhodana, formerly rendered as 輸頭檀 [shu tou tan] (Shūtóután). It is the Sanskrit name of King 淨飯王 [jing fan wang] (Jìngfàn Wáng). Volume 4 of 玄應音義四 [xuan ying yin yi si] (Xuányìng Yīnyì Sì) states: "King 輸頭檀 [shu tou tan] (Shūtóután) should correctly be pronounced King (Shǒutútuónà). This is translated as 淨飯 [jing fan] (jìngfàn), or sometimes 白飯 [bai fan] (báifàn), which is incorrect."
