受法灌頂 [shou fa guan ding]—Receiving Dharma Empowerment – [Dharma Practice (修法 [xiu fa])] For all Mantra/Vajrayana practices (真言法 [zhen yan fa]), starting with the Samaya Vows (三昧耶戒 [san mei ye jie]), from receiving the teachings of a single deity to becoming an Acarya (阿闍梨 [a du li]), one must undergo the sacred ritual (聖式 [sheng shi]) of empowerment (灌頂 [guan ding]). This is referred to as Receiving Dharma Empowerment.
受法灌頂—【修法】凡真言法以三昧耶戒為始受一尊法乃至阿闍梨必行灌頂之聖式,謂之受法灌頂。
[xiū fǎ] fán zhēn yán fǎ yǐ sān mèi yé jiè wèi shǐ shòu yī zūn fǎ nǎi zhì ā dū lí bì xíng guàn dǐng zhī shèng shì, wèi zhī shòu fǎ guàn dǐng.
