Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryśmaśānabhōjana (श्मशानभोजन).—n (S) Eating in or near a cemetery in the name of a defunct. This is done by the son of the deceased by proxy of the kāraṭā or functionary of obsequies, to whom he gives victuals for the purpose.
