śitaḷaśimagā (शितळशिमगा).—m A term for the day after the full moon of phālguna On this day they sprinkle or dash water over the embers of the hōḷī. 2 The entertainment made to children, or the cloths sprinkled with vasantīraṅga, the sweetmeats &c. given to puerperal women or to children, at the close of or on some day during the festival of hōḷī.
