Śītajalaja (शीतजलज) is another name (synonym) for Utpala, which is a Sanskrit name for the plant Nymphaea alba (white water rose). This synonym was identified by Narahari in his 13th-century Rājanighaṇṭu (verse 10.195), which is an Ayurvedic medicinal thesaurus.
