Śilāśekhara (शिलाशेखर) refers to the “peaks of the stone”, according to the Ṣaṭsāhasrasaṃhitā, an expansion of the Kubjikāmatatantra: the earliest popular and most authoritative Tantra of the Kubjikā cult.—Accordingly, “The group of four (sacred seats) that has originated from the sacred seat on the peaks of the Stone [i.e., śilāśekhara-pīṭha] has brought down the divine Krama into the triple universe”.
