śidōrī (शिदोरी).—f (siddha & dōrī Cord of the slung basket or pot.) Victuals or dressed provisions (as carried on a journey, taken or sent to the fields or another's house &c.) Pr. śikavilēlī buddhi āṇi bāndhalēlī śi0 sarvadā purata nāhīṃ. 2 Victuals (given by women to Brahmans, esp. in the rainy season). 3 Victuals (given to a stranger-child, in order to obtain puṇya or merit).
