śibēṃ (शिबें).—n The reticulation or network which forms within the cucumber-kind by the drying and contracting of the fibres. 2 A mild form of leprosy: also a blotch or scab of it. 3 A plate, bowl, or vessel shelving towards the middle. Used as a strainer or drainer. 4 An apparatus consisting of a stick with a bamboo-bowl or -basket, for straining liquid substances.
