捨身品 [she shen pin]—Chapter on Self-Sacrifice — [Sutra Name]: The Golden Light Sutra (金光明經 [jin guang ming jing]), Chapter Four on Self-Sacrifice (四有 [si you]), describes how in the past, Mahāsattva (摩訶薩埵 [mo he sa duo]), the third son of King Mahāratha (摩訶羅陀王 [mo he luo tuo wang]), sacrificed his body (捨身 [she shen]) for a hungry tigress (餓虎 [e hu]).
