Śāstrāsiddhatva (शास्त्रासिद्धत्व).—The supposed invalidity of a rule or a set of rules by virtue of the dictum laid down by Panini in पूर्वत्रासिद्धम् (pūrvatrāsiddham) VIII.2.1; cf. शास्त्रासिद्धत्वमनेन क्रियेत । एकादेशशास्त्रं तुक्शास्त्रे असिद्धं भवति । (śāstrāsiddhatvamanena kriyeta | ekādeśaśāstraṃ tukśāstre asiddhaṃ bhavati |) M.Bh. on P.VI.1.86 Vart. 5.
