商數 [shāng shù] [shang shu]—
When the dividend is divided by the divisor and it is divisible, the result is the quotient. For example, 10 divided by 5 equals 2, where 2 is the quotient (, shāng shù). If it is not divisible, such as 16 divided by 6, you get a quotient of 2 and a remainder (餘數 [yu shu], yú shù) of 4.
