Source: Shodhganga: Bhismacaritam a critical studySaurameyī (सौरमेयी) is the name of a Sanskrit metre (chandas) [defined as इ.वं.वं.इ] of the Vaṃśastha type as employed in the Bhīṣmacarita (Bhishma Charitra) which is a mahākāvya (‘epic poem’) written by Hari Narayan Dikshit.—We find fourteen examples of Saurameyī variety of Vaṃśastha metre in the Bhīṣmacarita. The example of it is verse XVI.2. [...] The other examples are as follows: XVI.3, XVI.35, XVI.43, XVII.15, XVII.17, XVII.21, XVII.51, XVIII.5, XVIII.47, XIX.10, XX.2, XX.40 and XX.49.
