Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarysatśūdra (सत्शूद्र).—m S A term for a Shudra who has gone through the purificatory and exalting ceremonies which are prescribed for the classes above him. 2 A common term for a Cowherd and a Barber; these two classes of the Shudra being viewed as purer, or as freer from the irregularities of the life of the servile tribe generally.
