Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Sarapari is an archaeologically important site situated in Puri district (Orissa or Odisha), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Sarapari there is a damaged stone in the wall of Sareśvara (Mahādeva) temple which mentions Sarapadadeva and Īśvareśvaradeva and also a mālākāra (florist) named Dāmodara. Below this is engraved another record in letters of smaller size.
