Saptamya (सप्तम्य) is the name of a festival that once existed in ancient Kashmir (Kaśmīra) as mentioned in the Nīlamatapurāṇa.—Saptamya proceeds as follows: the 7ths of the bright halves of (Mārgaśīrṣa), Māgha and Āṣāḍha are dedicated to the worship of the sun. The verses describing the procedure of the worship are lost.
