Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarysapāṭaṇēṃ (सपाटणें).—& sapāṭā Commonly jhapāṭaṇēṃ or capāṭaṇēṃ & jhapāṭā. 2 sapāṭā, besides having senses and uses in common with jhapāṭā, confers, when prefixed to names of objects, the sense of Hugeness or enormousness, with the force of the words Monster or hulk; as sapāṭā ḍōṅgara, sapāṭā jhāḍa, sapāṭā dhōṇḍā, sapāṭā vāḍā-imārata-ghara, sapāṭā sāpa; and, more freely, sapāṭā pāūsa, sapāṭā pīka, sapāṭā ūsa &c.
