Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarysāṅgaṇīcā (सांगणीचा).—a (sāṅgaṇēṃ) That is settled or entered into by the father of the female coming forward and proffering his daughter--a marriage-compact. In such compacts the father of the female takes no money for her. 2 That is obtained in marriage under such compact--the bride or female.
