Sāṃyātrika (सांयात्रिक).—A sea-trader, a merchant trading by sea (potavaṇik); यथा समुद्रेऽपि च पोतभङ्गे सांयात्रिको वाञ्छति तर्तुमेव (yathā samudre'pi ca potabhaṅge sāṃyātriko vāñchati tartumeva) Pañcatantra (Bombay) 1.316; सांयात्रिकाननेकांश्च कृतद्वीपान्तराश्रयान् (sāṃyātrikānanekāṃśca kṛtadvīpāntarāśrayān) Śiva B.3.3.
