Source: Brill: Śaivism and the Tantric Traditions (shaktism)Samullasita (समुल्लसित) refers to “being brightened up”, according to the King Vatsarāja’s Pūjāstuti called the Kāmasiddhistuti (also Vāmakeśvarīstuti), guiding one through the worship of the Goddess Nityā.—Accordingly, “[...] She has braided hair. Her limbs are adorned with bracelets, earrings, necklaces, twining laces, girdles, jewels, and anklets. Her clothes resemble Bandhūka flowers. She is full of affection , and the hue of her body is brightened up (samullasita-aṅgarāgā) with saffron and sandal paste.. [...]”.
