Saṃkṣiptaka (संक्षिप्तक, “compression”) refers to one of the four varieties of the energetic style (ārabhaṭī), according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 22. It can also be spelled as Saṅkṣiptaka (सङ्क्षिप्तक). Ārabhaṭī represents one of the four styles (vṛtti) employed in a dramatic production.
