Saṃkramaṇaka (संक्रमणक).—nt. (also m. or f.?), pl. °kāni Mahāvyutpatti 5585 = Tibetan bsti khaṅ, rest-house, private pavilion (according to [Tibetan-English Dictionary], private house, sanctum); Chin. room or house for lying down; Japanese private (rest) room; ūrdhvī (on a wall) ekā nibaddhā °ṇakā (mss. °ṇakāḥ) Divyāvadāna 220.22; (in a city; gṛhāḥ kūṭāgārā) harmyāḥ prāsādā…avalokanakā °ṇakā 221.29; probably pavilion for rest or private amuse- ment, which might or might not be on a wall or roof.
