sambhāḷaṇēṃ (संभाळणें).—v c (sambhāraṇa S) To feed, foster, cherish, support: also to preserve, protect, take care of. 2 To uphold, bear up, sustain, maintain, lit. fig. (a weight, burden, business). sambhāḷūna ghēṇēṃ-cālaviṇēṃ-vāgaviṇēṃ-varttaviṇēṃ acc. of o. To bear with; to hold up fosteringly or excusingly; to carry on, employ, use, or treat with allowance and consideration (a person, an animal, an article).

Ex. sambhāḷa apathya kēlēṃsa tara dukhaṇēṃ vāḍhēla. 2 To feel; to have sensibility or perception of; to he alive to the impression made by;--as the body or the mind with regard to their respective objects. Ex. mājhēṃ śarīra badhira asēṃ jhālēṃ āhē kīṃ tyāsa ḍāga dilhā tarīṃ sambhāḷata nāhīṃ maga cimaṭā kōṭhalā sambhāḷāyālā.
