2) enjoining certain duties; स्थापयेत्तत्र तद्वंश्यं कुर्याच्च समयक्रियाम् (sthāpayettatra tadvaṃśyaṃ kuryācca samayakriyām) Manusmṛti 7.22.
3) preparation of an ordeal.
