Samarthavibhakti (समर्थविभक्ति).—A case which is appropriate to express the sense of the tad. affix prescribed; e.g. तस्यापत्यम् । तस्येति षष्ठी समर्थविभक्तिः (tasyāpatyam | tasyeti ṣaṣṭhī samarthavibhaktiḥ); cf. P. IV.1.92; तेन रक्तं रागात् । तेनेति तृतीया समर्थविभक्तिः (tena raktaṃ rāgāt | teneti tṛtīyā samarthavibhaktiḥ); cf. P.
