Samālīḍha (समालीढ) refers to “being completely consumed” (by the fire of meditation), according to the 11th century Jñānārṇava, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “A corporeal [soul] becomes pure like gold immediately karma, whose existence is without a beginning and which is completely consumed by the fire of meditation (dhyānānala-samālīḍha), is destroyed”.
