See under saḷasaḷaṇēṃ. 2 To hiss very vehemently and noisily--serpents or a serpent. 3 esp. with vara or aṅgāvara of o. To fall upon with furious roaring and storming. 4 To slip with force and noise out of its sheath--a sword, an arrow &c.; to slide soundingly adown or along a surface.
