Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarysāḷakēgōḷakē (साळकेगोळके).—m pl sāḷakōjīmāḷakōjī m (Fanciful formations in imitation of proper names, and corresponding with John Nokes and Thomas Stiles in English. Or by reduplication from śyā- lakajī Wife's brother, corresponding with mēhuṇē māmē and numberless similar formations.) Some obscure and insignificant fellow; some Dick or Jack whom nobody knows; Mr. Somebody or Anybody. Generally the words are used in the plural, and then they would be better rendered by Some fellows of the mobile or canaille; some of the Tag, rag, and bobtail. Also used (in the singular) in the sense of A would-be great one, a mighty pretender; as tū mōṭhā sāḷakōjīmāḷakōjī gēlāsa malā ṭhāūka āhē.
