Sajjan (सज्जन्) is the name of a barber, according to the Lalitāṅgakumārarāsa by Kṣamākalaśa (dealing with the lives of Jain teachers), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—Accordingly, “Lalitāṅgakumāra was a beautiful and generous prince in Ujjayinī. he was an embodiment of Kāma. When he went outside, he used to distract ladies so much that they were unable to look after their daily tasks. Men complained before the king, who asked the prince not to go outside any longer and to remain inside his lodging. There Lalitāṅgakumāra befriended with the barber Sajjan. [...]”.
