Saguṇarūpin (सगुणरूपिन्) refers to the “attributive form (of Śiva)”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.48 (“Description of Marriage of Śiva and Pārvatī”).—Accordingly, as Nārada said to Himavat (Himācala): “[...] Śiva is identical with Nāda (nādamaya). And Nāda is identical with Śiva. There is no difference between the two—Nāda and Śiva. O lord of mountains, Nāda being prior to Śiva in His sportive, attributive form (līlā-saguṇarūpin), Nāda is the most excellent of all. Hence, O Himācala, mentally urged by Śiva, the lord of all, I played upon my lute”.
