Source: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryRūpapamāṇika refers to: measuring by form (outward appearance), one of the 4 kinds of measurements which the world takes of the Tathāgata (see A. II, 71 & Pug. 53), viz. rūpa°, ghosa°, lūkha°, dhamma° DhA. III, 113; the same four similarly at SnA 242.
Note: rūpapamāṇika is a Pali compound consisting of the words rūpa and pamāṇika.
Pali is the language of the Tipiṭaka, which is the sacred canon of Theravāda Buddhism and contains much of the Buddha’s speech. Closeley related to Sanskrit, both languages are used interchangeably between religions.
