Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryrukhavata (रुखवत).—n The ceremony, in weddings, of the father and friends of the bride taking refreshments to the abode of the bridegroom, for him to make a repast previously to their conducting him to the house where the nuptials are to be celebrated. 2 The articles of refreshment so taken: also the repast so made. In some places this ceremony is performed after the bridegroom has been conducted to the house of the bride.
