Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryrēnda (रेंद).—f m C rēndā m rēndagaḍa or rēndagūḍa n m rēndaḍa f rēndāḍa n Sloppy mud, mire, slush; foul and dreggy water, oil, ghee; running or oozing gūḷa; bloody pus or sanious running; foul snot or slabber; a mass of dung and mucky dirt; any slop, filth, mess, or nastiness. 2 rēndā is further applied, figuratively, to the nauseous mass of materials from which spirituous liquor is extracted; to materials mixed up for the making of brass, for the furbishing of gold &c. And rēnda m is further a Distillery, and, further, in the Tannah zilla, what at Poona and Satara is āvakhōrā (A water or drinking vessel). rēndā or rēndāḍa, rēndagaḍa or rēndagūḍa kāḍhaṇēṃ g. of o. To beat to a mummy or an oozing mass.
