Source: Google Books: ManthanabhairavatantramRaviśaśin (रविशशिन्) (Cf. Arkendu) refers to the “Sun and Moon”, according to the Manthānabhairavatantra, a vast sprawling work that belongs to a corpus of Tantric texts concerned with the worship of the goddess Kubjikā.—Accordingly, “That Yakṣiṇī who is Raudrī, the energy of Supreme Śiva is aroused by the five arrows (of Kāmadeva). She plays in the Wheel of Fire and moves in the first day of the bright lunar fortnight into the hexagram. By churning (the two breaths), Sun and Moon [i.e., raviśaśin], she looks beautiful in the Triangle within the maṇḍala and is endowed with the six (parts of the Hexagram). Above time and in front within the excellent city of the three cities (tripura) (i.e. the Triangle), she is divided into the divisions (of the triangle and the hexagram)”.
Shakta (शाक्त, śākta) or Shaktism (śāktism) represents a tradition of Hinduism where the Goddess (Devi) is revered and worshipped. Shakta literature includes a range of scriptures, including various Agamas and Tantras, although its roots may be traced back to the Vedas.
