A term amongst the Kun̤bis (which worthy class has for ages enjoyed the reputation of indomitable stoutheartedness against all applications but that of the cudgel, argumentum baculinum,--See kuṇabī) for a demand of payment (whether of revenue to the government or of debt to the banker) made with mildness and gentleness--made by a piṭhyāśipāī, not kaṇakyā,--and which, accordingly, our Kun̤bi deems himself at liberty serenely to disregard.
